Providing better economic opportunities for our communities by streamlining the process for sealing/expunging juvenile records.
Problem
Many justice-impacted people have significant challenges with reaching economic stability and the goal is to support young adults with a pathway to do so. To combat the problem, better resources need to be developed to help individuals navigate the system and to better understand both their eligibility and the process.
Solution
Our project is focused on sealing and expunging records for people to remove barriers to economic opportunity, and we’ve created a record-sealing, online guided form that may be able to support organizations working to aid in this. We are partnering with organizations whose scale can help increase the impact by increasing digital access and reach for the vulnerable communities across MA. We may also be able to adapt our resources and support the potential needs of our partners and working together to use their expertise to inform different iterations of this project.
